One Day to Go . . .

By James Kwak

Well, officially at least. There have been a bunch of copies on eBay for a while now, and apparently some bookstores have put them on the shelf already. You can now read excerpts from the introduction and the last chapter, courtesy of NPR and the WSJ, respectively. Besides the reviews that Simon has featured on this blog, there’s a new one from the Daily Kos. The events page now has some media highlights (Colbert!) in addition to in-person appearances.

And we have a page explaining what the title means.

“The solution must be economically simple, so it can be effectively enforced; the more complex the scheme, the more susceptible it is to regulatory arbitrage, such as reshuffling where assets are parked..”

Simple is beautiful. Simple and enforceable. Anyone who has ever managed any organization, worked on a car, coached a sports team, had children, or even used an ipod understands this.

If we break these boys down (and the golden moment is lost, hopefully not forever) then they cannot hold us hostage.

I cannot wait to read this book. I hope it gets alot of play. Bravo guys. And thanks for the hard work.

  2. I’m looking forward to it, thank you. I didn’t think I’d understand it, but after reading the reviews, I’ll give it a try.

    Congratulations.
